EAD and AP experience in Philly

Both are easy to get. Go early in the morning around 7 am so you can be the first few.

For EAD just fill the form and have a copy of the 485 receipt plus the fee. I took the pics put they did not take it. They snap their own pic.

For AP, the form, 485 receipt, 3 pics and the fee. You get the EAD on the same day and AP is ready on Thursday if filed by Monday or the next Thursday, if filed after the Monday.
 
AP in Philadelphia

My I-485 application is penning with Local INS, Atlanta. Recently I moved to Phily. My file has not been transferred to Phily. My AP is expiring soon and As Iam planning to go to INDIA , I want to get AP from Local INS Phily. Will they accept my application for AP at Phily? Do I need to give a valid travel reason to get AP in Phily Local INS?

I am not sure if they will do since your case has not been transferred but you can try. On the other end, they are perhaps the fattest in local 485 processing. My friend was transferred from LA and he got the PP stamped in 3 months.

you mean to say that your friend\'s 485 got approved in 3 months?
But I heard on this forum that it takes 1 year for 485 at Philly

That is correct in three months. But remember it was a local (not Service center) filed case not based on employment. I believe the national processing times for philly also say 90 days.
