EAD and AP approval time difference

My EAD is approved as of 01/21/04. I applied for EAD and AP at the sametime(RD 12/05/03). When will the AP get approved....what is the time difference...anybody knows?

I can't speak for your AP case but I am going to post my AP info below so that you will have an idea as to how long it may take.

Japanese

AP Applied: 10/27/03
AP application received by USCIS: 11/3/03
RFE (bad picture; need retake) generated by USCIS: 12/3/03
RFE received by USCIS: 12/10/03
AP approved: 1/8/04
 
Still Waiting

I applied for AP on September 18th. Still waiting. I did call the USCIS hotline. They took my information and replied back after a month that my case is sent for security check and will take unspecified amount of time

keeping the fingers crossed

exact thing has been happening with me..been in security check ever since .. my RD is july 31.. and no news other than the security check:(
 
I am from Pakistan and filed the case with NSC. Watever, are you from pakistan as well. Seems like they are doing more rigorous security checks with Pakistani applicants.

FYI: I applied the EAD on Sept 18 as well and it was approved within 6 weeks.
 
Security checks for AP?

arch73 and watever did they tell you that they are doing a background check in order to process your AP?

gcpain1, I had applied for my EAD and AP togather. My AP was approved 2 months after my EAD approval. I am from NSC.
 
guju..thanks for the reply.....last year when i applied ead and ap i got them pretty much at same time....wonder what they are doing now.

yea arch73 im from pakistan..maybe thats the reason ..dont know but its getting annoying now:(( RD JULY 31 2003.. :(

sorry i just read the previous posts of yours... atleast u have ur EAD.. our centers r different..mine is vermont.. i have a feeling u mite get lucky soon...
