[INS Nightmare]

wife got EAD and switched from H1 to EAD..
she has not earned any salary this yr...
lets say if she earns during the later part of this yr,
should I pay tax as single income guy ?
or pay tax as "two income" even for the first half of the year ?

It depends if you have met the resident rule set out by IRS based on continuous presence in the US. You will see it in the 1040 instruction
