EAD Alien# Vs. Advance Parole Alien#

Should they match ? In my case the alien# on adv parole does not match.
last digit from my EAD alien# seems to have been dropped.
Is this normal ? the adv parole is in the new format.

Should be the same

Maybe a printing error. Call INS and order a new EAD card with correct info. Verify with the 485 receipt notice...
 
Anyone travelled to India recently on AP ?

My wife and I are planning to travel to India. Our visa has expired but we have AP. Do the Indian authorities at New Delhi airport recognise the AP document ? Pls share experiences. Thanks.
 
Is AP mailed to lawyer or to us????

My AP Approved on 06/21/2002 according to AVM.
Will it come to my home address or does it goes to lawyer office?
Somebody who received AP can reply to me??

It goes to lawyers office

I got my AP approved recently (05/31/02). The AP went to the lawyers office and they forwarded it to me. The EAD card however came directly to me (lawyer got the approval notice tho)
 
I dont have the first digit from the EAD on AP

In my case the EAD Alien number is in the format 0XX-XXX-XXX (9digits)
whereas the AP alien number is in the format XXXXXXXX (8 digits)

So it looks like only the first 0 is dropped on the AP. All other 8 digits match

Looks like they messed up my alien# on AP.
0 is dropped + last digit too.
on AP I got AXXXXXXX only 7 digits.

It took about 15 days

The AVM said it was approved 05/31/02. The lawyer got it on the 15th of June
