EAD After RFE

I had filed for EAD. Recieved RFE March 13 06
Sent response in May which was received May 26.
Showed online May 31st
LUD 06/05/2006

how long does it usually take to get EAD after responding to RFE
looking at some threads here EAD was approved only few days( mostly withing one week) after receipt of the RFE.
FYI I am currently serving my J1 Waiver and have finished 2 years out of three years working in designated area
My AOS interview was in March 06

If your interview for AOS was March 06 how come you got a REF on March 13 :confused: :confused: or am I missing something.

running_swede is right, the REF timeline shows that the EAD does not come few days after REF

Remeron, if you like you can give me your info (EAD ND, FP.. ) and I will add you to our RFE timeline.
Did you apply for I-765 at the same time as your I-485? As justnew says, it seems odd that you already had your interview, but haven't got an EAD yet.
On the other hand, if your I-485 was approved, you will not need an EAD anymore. Your GC is your work permit.

I applied for I485 in NOV
RD nov 13
ND Nov 21 Interview Mar 15

EAD applied Dec 21 online
RFE March 13( online message) but letter was actually received 2 weeks later

Did not sent response until May
RFE received AT USCIS May 26th
LUD June 05

LUD on I485 Jan 03/06 the day I went for biometrics
no change since then not even after interview
I have FBI checks pending
I went to infopass appt MAy 15 same answer
I was not in hurry for EAD so waited to send RFE response. On H1 status at this time
now have to travel on AP
 
Your dates and present status are a bit unclear. Are you on H1 or J1? What was the outcome of your interview in March, was it an adjustment of status interview?

Oh, ok. Yeah, apparently your EAD is delayed because you waited with sending the RFE response. Well, since you are still on H1 you don't really need it yet I guess.
I added you to our EAD after RFE timeline table. You should probably hear something soon, have an eye on the 2006 part, because there are a couple of people who sent their responses around the same as you. It's hard to predict, but it would make sense that you would be getting your EAD around the same time as them.

I am on H1
I was on J1 until June 2004
Obtained waiver of 2 year requirement
I am a physician so have to work in a medically underserved area for 3 years
completed 2 years this month
Interview went well only thing is pending FBI name check
once cleared by FBI hopefully they will approve my case at least thats what the interviewing officer said
