EAD after having an EAD before

Hey guys, I have a question. I am a husband of an asylum applicant. It has been over 150 days since we gave fingerprints and we still do not have a date for interview. We are going to file for EAD with my wife. I am filling out the form I-765, seems pretty easy, but on question 11 asks me if I have ever applied for EAD before. So here is what happened: I was a F1 student and my college filed for my OPT EAD card, so practically I had one before with a different A number, but they filed it- not me personally. They also ask what date it was filed, something I am unaware of since the college filed it for me. Should I fill in this number 11 or I just fill in "NO" since I did not personally file this I-765 before.
Thank you in advance,

I am curious about the same. I had a EAD card previously as a student, and wondering if that will cause a problem.

Nops. There won't be any issue. I was in the same boat as you guys before. Mine is almost approved now.
Make sure to send the receipt or approval letter of the student EAD and a copy of that as well.
One of my friend still had 4 months left in this student ead card when he decided to drop the student status and applied for C08 category.
After couple of months, he got a new card and was told to not use student ead anymore.

Oh sadsoul thank you so much. I did show them the EAD card, but didn't think to add the 'approval receipt'. I'm so scared and worried.

No need to get worried. The only reason,, I added that receipt or approval was because, in the form i765, it asks when you applied for the first ead(student). So, just to prove that date, I added that notice. Most of the time, they are fine with EAD copy but you never know for what reason, they issue RFE.

thank you for the info. SO on question 11 you did fill in that you had an EAD before. Also which date you put in as filing date on question 11, I have no idea since the college filed it, should I put the date it was received with a copy?
Thank you

Yes, if you had any ead before, you need say Yes and submit the details of that ead.
For the date on receipt, you can do that. If you ask me the way I did it was, I wrote 2 days before the receipt date.
If the receipt date was October 30, then I wrote October 28. The day, I filed it.
It doesn't matter but just to let you know.
