hello madgu-gc2005,
Thank you for the info. yes, you are right, i have to consider all the rules before visiting India in AP.

I was thinking to visit my parents last year so I started looking at the details what one should know. Lots of confusion was there between me and my employer about excercising EAD after I come back from India trip and so i started digging out stuff that my employer is not aware off. Then my employer accepted the fact that I do not need to excercise EAD after I come back. However I did not visit my parents. Plan and Enjoy your trip.

Well i will not be scare and will not scare you
just relax
thousands in your situation go and come back safely every day.
its just mind game ...
if you have AP you can go
rule says approved H1 is fine
EAD is optional.
madgu's employer was probably unaware of that
most of universities/company's Human resource know all.

Thank you eb1doc for sharing your experience. Greatly appreciate. Yes, I will keep both approved H1 petition and AP ready, and then visit India. Because I do not want to go to US conslulate for stamping in my passport as my stamping expired since 2004.
