EAC# given is EAC000165xxxx

Any thoughts?

You have 96 PD and how come you waited so long to file 485 ?! I do not want to discourage you but it will be couple of months before you get an approval.

It may be due to the fact that INS fiscal year starts every October of the year and since you filed in October 1999 it may fall under fiscal year 2000-2001. This is just my thought. I may be wrong.

i was caught when the flood gates opened up a year ago. it\'s been a long ordeal.

i am just concerned that i do not see eac99 and it\'s eac000, wonder when they will even get to my case.

just spoke to IIO. Mine is also EAC-00-000....since my RD is oct 99
She said they just got the visa bulletin today and it is available up until Nov 99. She said I am in good shape to get my 485 processed.

ranjan, thanks, i\'m trying to figure out how they have assigned our numbers.

according to previous post if Oct was the start of fiscal yr 2000 for INS then based on the my eac00016 is good i.e 16th working day.

therefore your eac00022 means they received urs on 1 nov 99. please confirm.
