EAC number structure

Does anyone know how the EAC number is structured?. Right now Some of the applicants in June are getting approval, their EAC number is 00 206 XXXXX, Mine is 00 276 XXXXX with a ND of Sep 19. How many case are actually there between these numbers? Just trying to guess how long it takes for me to get my appoval.

So, my friend Jaideep, I am exactly one month ahead than you. My ND is Oct 19, 2000. MY EAC # 01 014 XXXXX. FP is on 01/02/2001.

How do you figure that out ? Mine is EAC 01 051 xxxxx I applied for I -485 in Oct 00 and got recipt in Dec 00.

I see that your EAC# matches with mine, and your ND is Dec\'00 and mine is Oct\'00. Therefore, I will be little earlier than you regarding the 485 approval date. Goodluck to us.....

Friends this how EAC # works....EAC is for Eastern service center (VSC)
First two digit e.g. 00 represents the year in this case 2000 (remember INS year begins in October)
the next three digits e.g. 215 represents the working day of that perticular year in this case 215th working day of 2000 ...
And the rest five digit is your case #....

If your case number is 01 014 then, your receipt date (not notice date) is 15-oct-2000. The XXX in EAC-01-XXX-YYYYY, is calculated based on the difference in the receipt date and 1 october.

There is a function called business_days in our database. Just plug in oct01, 2000( first day for year 2001 for INS) and try different dates till you get back 19. Or if it is a small number count all the working days from Oct 1.

     That is not true in my case gc_ss(Using RD instead of ND). My formula worked for me and lot of my friends. Also I never till now saw the number go beyond 200\'s.

My RD is 06/23/00 and ND 07/06/00. FP 12/02/00 country Others, Still waiting for approval. EAC 00 214 XXXXX.

01 022 527bb should hear the news soon?
