EAC-03 Starts from today.

EAC-02 finished with 297 working days as of yesterday.
EAC-02-297-5XXXX

this can't be..

mine is EAC-02-086-51XXX and my RD is on 01/03/02, ND 01/15/02. i haven't heard anything from vsc & you're saying there done with EAC-02??? im pretty sure im not the only one whose eac is still 02...

I disagree. There are still 02-xx cases waiting to get approved!
 
C'mmon guys..

listen to what magesh says..
All of those applicants whose ND starts from today(who have filed their 485 now) will have EAC-03....
 
New INS fiscal Year

Folks:

He just meant issuance of new case numbers at the start of new INS fiscal year.

Doesn't mean processing is done for all EAC-02-... folks. As a matter of fact, i doubt there could be very few cases with EAC-01...as well. (100%true for TSC though)

What magesh_kk is trying to convey is that since it is the start of fiscal year 2003 for INS from today (10/01/2002). The INS will be starting to issue application reciept number from EAC-03-001 onwards for application which are mailed or recieved by INS from today and he is not talking about approvals for the prior cases of EAC-02 **** . Hope that clears the confusion

May be due to lot of concurrent 140/485 applications and issue of receipt notices.

Nothing to do with that. Fiscal Year 2003 started today. Every case from last year with an ND of October 1st or later was EAC-02, even though it was still 2001.

All cases filed from today onwards will have case nos

EAC 03 001 ?????

Look at UR EAC Nos...
EAC 02 0r 01...201..65382

the 6,7,8 digit make up the working day for that year.(Saturdays Counted)

so just subtract UR RD from (01-OCT-200?) multiply by 6 divide by 7, U should get UR 6,7,8 digit OF UR Receipt Number...the last 5 digits are some sequence anyway...



For INS the Fiscal year is from 01-OCt- to 30-Sep.....

what ever he said was correct .Because INS is a Fedral government.Their fiscal year start from 1-oct . Because I had worked with Fedral govt project previously. their were my client.
so what ever he said is correct???

"Understanding" should be the power..... Life will be tough if you don't have understanding power.....

"EAC-02 finished" meaning not approvals.... I mean the receipt (case) numbers for EAC-02 series came to an end yesterday as INS fiscal year starts from today.

Those who file I140/I485 as of today will receive a receipt number with series EAC-03... Got it....

I think all of us in here are on pins and needles. So, anyone posts any dates people don't wait to jump on to conclusions:).

What people want to see it which EAC nos are getting processed for I485 approvals. So, when someone popped in a statement that EAC-030 has started... all those who have EAC-02* became agitated... thinking where did they fall off the bandwagon... hee..hee.!!

Cheer up, guys.! The I485 mirage will eventually turn to reality.

Also Magesh, I am having a watch over your theory that all oct'01 ,Nov'01 and Dec'01 will start from today (10/01). Lets see how far are they true........I am watching...heee heee :p

Try to understand what he said .
Eac -03 is fiscal year for fedral government. 001 is first day of the fisical year. all the sequnce numbers starts in VSC with 51XXX , XXX is that many number of application that had recived on that day.
so if on XXX day the received lesser 485 applications they will clear , if they recive more it may delay.
