EA petition -- how long should I wait

Filed EA-EB1 09/25/2002. Processing times show currently processing 01/09/2003. SO mine should have been processed. But I did not hear anything from BCIS yet. I called the National Visa Center and they told me that they are requesting a status check that would come to me by mail in 3-4 weeks. Is there anything else that I could do? I do have a lawyer and have contacted him but he's out of town today.
 
I thought you have only two petitions - NIW and OR and your OR has been approved. You might want to concentrate your CP or AOS instead of pursuing another I-140 approval.

You are correct. I do have OR approved and am in the process of filing AOS (next week). But I would like to have a self petition as well, just incase of unforseen circumstances.
 
That is a good idea

if you want to change jobs sooner. Some people substitute the 140 with another approved one. I do not know if that can be done or how to do it. you can check for similar things on this forum.
