Guys,

When you applied for EB1 and EB2-NIW, did you send in TWO separate application packeges? or just one. I understand that we will need two cover letters, Forms, and checks. I am gonna give it a try for both category even I am gonna use the same supporting materials and reference letters? Is it a good idea to apply at the same time or send them separately? Is it okay if I don\'t even ask my references to modify their letters ? It is a such a big favor and pain for them.
I am working on my Ph.D. right now, but I do have some other good stuff. so I guess my chance foe getting EB-1 is relatively slim? Do you guys agree or have any experience?

Thanks so much.

Here is what I did ...

I applied for both E1A and NIW. Identical materials, identical cover letters, except that I put different memos at the beginning of each letter. For supporting letters, I asked them to do the same thing, same letter, two copies, different headings. I mailed my NIW one week ahead of E1a. However, my E1a was approved two months ahead of NIW approval. Good luck to you. I think nowadays E1a seems to be easier than NIW.

Thanks and questions

Thanks so much for your imput.

One dumb question: can I use the copy of the supporting letters in one of my applications in stead of the original one? I really don\'t want to both these professors. It\'s such a huge favor.

Anyboady had experience ???. Think somebody mentioned a while ago that it doesn\'t matter.

INS needs only photocopies no original.

I send for both of my applications, nice photocopies of the letters which is fine with INS. They always suggest to provide them with photocopy of all material. If need arise they will ask for the original.

Also for reference letters, I am sure you asked them to write at the end the standard line; "If you have any further question, please do not hesitate to call me at ---". In other words INS should be able to contact them if they feel so.

Good Luck!
