E2 to H1 Possible?

Dear Group of Experts;

I am a Canadian with E2 hoping to convert it to H1. Provided I found a sponsoring company, would it be difficult? I have read on a lawyer's website that INS really does not like it because it looks like the intention of E2 was to just stay here and find a job.

Have there been many successful casese from E2 to H1? What are the realistic obstacles? Would I be less advantaged due to E2?

I see that some people are getting Green Card with E2 despite intent discrepancy, but I would like to go with H1B to GC.

Although I am not an expert, I don't see any reason why going from E2 to H1 would be any more difficult than usual. However, I would prepare a good response to a possible query as to why E2 status is no longer desired. It should not be a problem, assuming that you did go through all the steps of setting up a business to justify your E2.
