After researching, I learned that the investor visa applicant can't just promise to invest; he must actually have already begun investing.

How, exactly, do you invest in an American company when you don't even have a visa to the US, yet?

Do you just make plans to go to a franchise training seminar? How many franchise trainers will be willing to schedule you about a year in advance?

Like, do you hire an American pen pal, like myself, to secure deals for the business?

How, exactly, does that work?

U have to gamble and hope u get it i m applying for it this is going to be my second try i already lost 6k in loyer fees and now they are asking for more evidance.....tired of this BS
if u r applying for this make sure u have the BEST person to represent...Good Luck

You can also put the money in escrow...or you can file for a visa while you are under contract and have the visa as a contigency of the aquiring of the company.

Make sure you have a good lawyer, which can help your deal a lot. He will tell you what papers you need to provide.

And you need to make a good business plan. Mostly an existing business is easier to obtain an E2 then starting from scratch.
