I filed my EAD online now Do I need to go local office for digital picture or I need to send by mail ? any suggestion welcome. thanks

Well, just follow

the instructions from the E-File. You should make an appointment with local office for Bio-Metrics.

Can you suggest me E-File EAD renewal vs paper filling. Which one is better

There is no difference from processing point of view. Both (Paper & Online) are same.

The ONLY advantages I think of Online app are:
1. You get confirmation Notice right away that u can print (good proof instead of waiting for receipt notice from USCIS)
2. You can minimize Data Entry errors done by USCIS 'Experienced" staff...:). You fill the app urself which directly goes into their system.
3. You save 3-4 days in delivery period. If you send by mail it will take 3-4 days for delivery and that will be ur RD, instead online - the date u apply, that date is ur application date.

Disadvantages:
1. need to schedule an appoint at ASC for Biometrics (but this is actually an advantage caz they take the photos and finger prints, so less chance of RFE for photos and finger prints).

Hope it helps...

Guys,

I filed my AP online a couple of weeks back. The instructions said that I have to mail my photo and other documents to USCIS.

Is it different for EADs? Or for AP also I was supposed to go to the local office to get my photo taken?

You better call them again

and findout, coz when i filed my EAD and AP online, due to some programming issue, i got the message not to make an appointment for Bio-Metrics, but after a week got an email saying there was an error and asked me to make an appointment and go to the nearest ASC for Bio Metrics.

RFE on eFile EAD

I have filled my EAD online on July 19th and already send the documents.
I got the email for RFE and yet to receive the letter. My biometric appt with local ASC in on Aug 30th.

Can you please let me know the RFEs on EAD.

Thanks

The following is from the USCIS website. I guess this explains why you guys got instructions to go to the local office when you filed your iEAD and I didn't when I filed my iAP.

E-Filing Form I-131, Application for a Travel Document
If you are E-Filing Form I-131, you will need to submit two identical color paper photographs with your Supporting Documents. See Paper Photograph Requirements for more information.

You do not need to submit fingerprints for this form.

Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization
If you are E-Filing Form I-765, you do NOT need to submit paper photographs. However, you will need to go to one of USCIS’ Application Support Centers for the electronic capture of a photograph, fingerprints and signature. See Scheduling An Appointment for Fingerprinting and Photographs.

Please Note: If you concurrently E-File Form I-765 with Form I-821, you do not need to self-schedule an appointment at an Application Support Center. However, if you concurrently E-File Form I-765 with any form other than Form I-821, you MUST schedule an appointment at an Application Support Center.
