e-filed EAD 765 question. should i wait for the notice? :)

I e-filed renewal 765 last week. and wondering if i should make an appointment now or wait for the appt notice and then make the appointment. anyone know the procedure?
any advice?

You can call anytime after e-filing. You should have gotten a pdf confirmation receipt with receipt number. Just call the 800 number from that, they'll verify your information and will give you a date for biometrics and a confirmation number.

I just called and the earliest appt available is Dec 29th!!! wow... :eek:
Thank you so much for your answer. if it weren't for you, i would have waited untill too late.
 
When you call to make an appointment, they will give you an appointment number. Take that number along with required documents and try walk in. If you are lucky enough, you may get in before the appointment time.
 
That is somenthing wrong... I called yesterday 1800 # in VSC for the same reason and I got a 8 digits number and a date dec/3rd??

i guess you got an earlier date because you are using a different center. mine is located in silver spring, MD. thanks everyone, i will try walk in and see if i can get it done. :)

Do keep us posted on your effort and results.

I was going to e-file my EAD renewal tomorrow, and then get the FP done at SSpring, MD.
My EAD expires in Feb/2006.
Now I am troubled, coz wifey needs to travel outside the country for 3 months and could miss our FP if its in Dec!!

Usually within 40 days after you file it (this is assuming you can get your Code 2 biometrics done before then).
 
Maryland silver spring ASC sucks. I went there this morning and was told I cannot have finger prints done by walk-in. If that's the rule, i understand. but the guy works there is really rude and yelled why was I there without an appoitment (and i was really polite to him!). is it a crime??
They have a list of names that scheduled for finger prints everyday. i counted, there are only at most 15 people!! the guy was yelling at me because he went through the list of names (a lot of work?) and didn't find my name. how can they be so lazy?? it only takes about 10 mins total to do the actual prints+ picture.
but don't be discouraged by this ASC. maybe other ASC's allow walk-ins.
