E-file EAD Question?

I am trying to e-file for EAD renewal for my wife.

I got struck in filling up the Current Status field. My wife had H1 and entered last time to US using her H1B visa. But currently her H1B got void and she is in EAD.

I am not sure what information to be filled up under the Current Status? Usually, in the I-765 form we put "Adjustment of Status pending",but I dont see that in online form.

I called Rajiv Khanna office and they didnt know how to do it.

I tried calling IIO in NSC and she asked me to file Manually since we couldnt find the "C9:Adjustment of Status pending" under the combobox.

I am wondering how others manage to file it.

Can someone help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Current immigration status would be Advanced Parole if she has Advanced Parole. Otherwise since it states "Current status or Manner of Last Entry", if she does not have AP, it would be H1B1.

Advance Parole

Thanks frantic.

In that case do I need to send a copy of her Advance Parole document along with the supporting documents?

Thanks,
Mad

Technically you need not send any documents since you are e-filing. But to be on the safe side, send as many documents as possible.

Once you e-file your EAD, make an appointment by calling INS. They give you a date that will be 1 or 2 months away from today. Since ASC handles e-filing, you can go there at a time when there will be no crowd and get your biometrics done very much ahead of appt. time. I was able to do mine at Atlanta ASC like this.

The system tells you exactly what it wants. So you don't have to guess or overdo. It essentially asked me for the 485 receipt and something else- can't rememeber what. I sent exactly that- I got EAD in less than a month (about 4 mo. ago).

freenation, you will make an appt for your biometrics at an ASC. But you need not wait for your appt time and get it done early.
