but today when i called the 800 number...the lady said it is a mistake...u do not need to make an appointment for e-filed Advance parole...you only need it for e-filed EAD.....is that correct??? anyone faced this??

Absolutely true!!! The immigration officer in my local uscis office even confirmed it by showing an email that he received from his superior. It was clearly written in that email that it was a bug displaying the appointment message for I-131 and asked them to ignore that message while their technical staff worked on the website. They sent this email on 06/23/04. I am wondering if it will take 3 weeks to update their web code???

I think they would have generated a LIN number for that and will wait for 90 days before processing on that request :D

your efiled Adavance parole application went smoothly and the money been charged on your credit card. I read in some other forum, people were saying they not charget on thiere creidt card even though more than week passed. Please advice me, i am thinking to apply AP online.
Thanks

I have applied EAD and AP online yesterday. It went smooth.
What are all the documents we need to send CIS for AP and EAD? Any idea?

hi devadoss,

I am wondering why you have to send the documents to them later, if you are filing AP online?
I am planning to file my AP online by this week.
do you know how long it takes if we file online?
online is faster than filing thru a lawyer. is that true?

please advice
thanks

- documents that you need to send are the supporting documents. These are the same copies that you woud've otherwise send for a manual filing.

- It takes the same amount of time. No time advantage between e-Filing and paper filing.

- Well.. you'll get the receipt number once you complete the e-Filing process, whereas with paper filing it'll take days before you get the receipt. And your lawyer can sit on your application before he even starts to file them. Otherwise there is no clear advantage.

One other advantage is that you can use credit card to earn some cashback points.... :p

please advice
thanks

- Yes

Did your credit card charged immediately ?
- Nope. Not even after 7 weeks and counting.

How long it took ?
- You mean, the actual filing process.??? I took me about 10-15 minutes. That part was easy.

I am planning to apply for AP. so please advice. Some people wer saying , even though more than week passed , thier credit card not charged.

- very true. From what I've seen the CC gets charged after 7-8 weeks.

It doesn't matter when your credit card gets charged. right?
only thing matter is you should get your Notice date at the earliest.

from what I understand is, when you submit your application online, immediately you will be assigned a EAC number or Receipt number with current date as the ND(Notice date) for the petition.
or
After you take the receipt of the online submission, send all the required documents to USCIS, then after receiving the packet from you, they will issue the EAC number with ND?

which one is the right statement?
thanks
