Hey folks, you've gotta write in English. Remember that this forum was set up so that people from all nooks & crannies of the world can interact with one another and exchange ideas. By writting in French you're practically excluding a lotta people who do not understand the language from partaking in your discussion. At the end of the day, the purpose of this forum would end up being scuttled.

Both of you must get the IV before September 30,2009. Otherwise, it will take at least 5 years before she can join you in USA as LPR.

I am dv 2009 winner as well, my number is extremely high AF00068XXX however I m scheduled to US consulate in Dakar early September. Do I have any chance to make it or do you guys advise me not to waste my time and money. I 'm currently in Guinea.
If anyone did interview, consular processing in Dakar, please advise me what to expect. I also speak French, you may either in French or English

You have a good chance go for it..look i read in the previous DV 2008 Around 47,000 visas were issued.....meaning there was a lack of around 3000 people that did not proceed or qualify nway if i were you i would go for it.....take it you have a chance BUT MAKE SURE YOU ARE PREPARED WITH EVERYTHING ..EVERY DOCUMENT!!!!!!1

To give you guys a background on my case
I'm the the principal applicant
MY CN is 2009AF00068xxx
Received my interview date on July 31 by e-mail because it failed to deliver in the mail box I PROVIDED in the US.
I have a sponsor that filed my I134 with his tax returns with over 41000 dollars, I have 3 children my husband and step son died throughout the year , and I informed both the embassy and consulate about the death.
My relative died in a blaze due an electrical problem in Guinea, Now I am a widow. I lost almost all my original documents (education during the blaze) I AM NOW IN THE process of gathering new documents.
Do you think the fact all my document be newly re issued cause problem or delay.
I fear delay because September 30 fast approaching
I will be paying 3100 for dv fees + medical cost+ cost to travel from Guinea to Senegal and so on...
Therefore I would like to get any information as to what to expect to the interview, step by step. Especially those who would be interviewing in Dakar.
