DV2014 selectee BUT F1 student

Hi everybody,
I have 2 problems, maybe someone been through that before. Any help is welcome!

1. I`m a DV2014 selectee from Europe but right now I`m a F1 student in USA (this visa is valid for the next few years). Want to apply through consular processing because I heard it goes a little bit faster. The potential problem is that this summer will be in Europe, in my home country, and will send the documents to KCC from there. Will I have a problem to re-enter in USA in august if my F1 is a non-immigrant visa and applying to DV for a green card means that I`m applying for an immigrant visa? I`m saying that because I know for sure that winners of DV lottery with F1 student who applied for an adjustment of status (AOS) and left temporarily USA - they needed an advance parole (AP) document before leaving USA. I think my situation is somehow similar...

2. One of the letters in my first name is different than in my birth certificate, and my high school diploma. Will I get into trouble because of that? I specify that my name on the DV lottery is the same as in my passport...is just the fact that one letter from my first name is different in my birth certificate and high-school diploma.

Thank you!

It is close to the border. If you are ready to have your status/visa revoked, you could apply and you risk of getting no GC.
1. Yes, you need AP if you want to apply for AOS and leave
2. The requirement is to have it as in your passport, not in birth certificate

Please take a look at the posts in the first couple pages of "DV 2014 AOS Only" thread and post your question there if still not sure.

Thank you raevsky.

1.The thing is that I don`t want to apply for AOS, I want to send the documents to KCC when I`m in Europe this summer. Will it affect my reentry in USA with the F1 visa? I specify that my F1 visa is valid for the next few years.
2. But don`t US embassies request birth certificate and high-school diploma when you go to the DV lottery interview?

1. It will not. However, you might be asked at the border questions about whether you applied for an immigrant visa. Then you will not be admitted on F-1. Also, if you need to extend F-1 status or visa, you might have a problem.
2. They do.
