I think it would be a good idea if people who have won the DV Lottery and those BASED in the UK post here. To share their thoughts.

I entered and hoping to be a winner.

How many NL's have reached the sunny shores of the UK??
 
I am in the UK but have not heard anything yet. I think I know of one person from another forum who is in the UK and won dv 2011. It would be nice to hear if there are others and which country they are claiming from.
 
yip , am in the UK and recieved my 'winners' letter a couple weeks ago. Just trying to get my head around the whole process before proceeding ....

Is your case number - is it a low or high number i.e 20000 or below and which country.
 
2011 DV Lottery

Well, it looks like it is over for me this year no NL in the post just have to wait now till DV 2012 now.:(
 
There is still a whole month to go to receive NLs. Dont be disheartened just yet.

Oh btw, I was a UK-based winner back in 2007.
 
thanks for that USAor bust, yip , keen to get out of mud island now. My case number is 2011AF00039747 - so i guess thats 39747. Is that a high number then ? I thought that would have been 39747 out of 100000 , so a relatively low number ? Is that not the case ?
Qualifying country is South Africa

Congratulations pringers - awesome news! Where in SA are you from and would you mind telling me when exactly you received your NL? I'm still waiting patiently here in Gauteng for mine. Hope I get it this year - my 5th attempt.

Thanks LMSA , im from Cape Town although i have been in London for about 9 years now. I got my letter at the end of April. Thanks for the link to the forum , it looks good. Need to start working out what i need to get as there is a bit of admin involved
