My wife received DV2009 winning letter. I will appreciate if you can help me with the following questions

1. The forms DS 122 and DS 230 are available online at:

DS-122: http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/80148.pdf
DS-230: http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/81807.pdf

Can I use this forms? It is easier to fill and print using a computer.

2. Question No. 10: She has not yet determined her address in the US. What would be the best answer for this question?
3. Question 11: She does not know any body in the US. How can she answer
4. Question 29 (DS230 part II). She does not konw any body in the US . Can she be her own petitioner at this time? Is she also the petitioner of her family?

4. Can She use courior service (DHL, FeEx) to send back the completed forms?

Thank you.

Congrats :)

Please update your signature like most ppl here in the forum.

2. N/A
3. N/A - but you need at time of interview an address!
In your case I would recommend a mailbox service like

http://www.myus.com/
http://www.usabox.com/
http://www.usglobalmail.com/

4. Yes, she has to fill in her own name and she is also the petitioner for you and your kids
5. Yes. I know some folks used regular mail, but I prefered courier which offerd a tracking system

I like using the online forms as it removes any possibility of misunderstood handwriting, they are also neater and you can print and extra copy to keep for your records.

I read some where a rusian winner was rejected, because she didn't write the forms with her hand writing.
IMO, the only item of a form to be handwritten is a signature field.

I don't believe that. The pdfs have text boxes, that were intentionally put for people who'd like to fill out using a computer.

I used a computer to fill out all the forms, even for the case number on the upper right corner. No problems, I got the visa :)

never heard of it.
Me neither, it actually says that you can type or print your responses.

1) On question 21 a,b: BY the way, If I indicate that I am coming along with my family, but later decide to leave them behind to a couple of months, would that present a problem.

OR

if I say that my family will follow at a later date, then decide to come with them anyway, would that present a problem as well.

2) Qn 34: If I indicate that a relative (brother) helped me complete my form, will that be of any disadvantage to me?

3) Who signs the form for my 2-year old

ds forms does KCC send to a winner

Hi everyone,
It's been ages since i last came to this website. I have a quick question. I just want to know if the number of forms KCC sends to a winner (regardless the number of applicants). E.g. Can they send two forms to a single winner?

If you need additional forms, make a copy of the one that you got before you write on it or download them (I don't have the link but I know they're online someplace)

I don't need additional forms. I just want to know if it is possible for KCC to send two forms to a single winner.

When printing forms they are a bit bigger

Hi guys,

when I print out the forms from the website they appear to be a bit bigger (A4) than the ones that I received.

Is this ok and was this also the case with the other winners who used the typing option (and not handwriting).

My printer is on A4 setting though paper used is a bit bigger compared to us ones.

thanks
