I am a winner of the lottery for 2008. I need to get police certificates from Illinois, Connecticut and FBI. Do those certificates have a certain validity period and I should consequently wait to order them and not risk expiration, or should I go ahead and get them done as soon as possible?

I am from Argentina and have a very low number. Any idea when I can expect to have the interview?

Thanks,

Following text is from the mail received about police certificates from KCC. So you dont need to get any police certificate regarding your former residence in the US.

Police Certificates
Present and former residents of the United States should NOT obtain any police certificates covering their residence in the U.S.

Unless the rules have changed since I won, your NL should say that you do NOT need to obtain US police certificates.
But you need police certificates for all the countries you have lived in since your 16th birthday ( as a general rule, check the attachment : it is one of the pages from my 2nd package, which came in April 05, so please consider the possibility that there might have been changes )

I am a little bit confused now. Let me clarify my case: I am currently living in the US, with an H1B visa. I lived in Illinois, Virginia and I am currently living in Connecticut. I received the package for KCC on March 7, 2007 and sent back the forms a week later. I just called them and they said that they have received the information and that it is is being processed. I should get the information for the appointment after August 15 and the interviews will be scheduled after October 1st.

I assumed that I need the police certificates from all the places I lived after 16 years old for more than 1 year, and that would include Virginia, Illinois and Connecticut. Am I wrong?
