DV2008, should we give up?

Hi all,

My wife got the NL from KCC a few days ago. We both live in the US (she is on F1 and I am on H1). Our problem is that our case number (AS00013XXX) is very high. For several reasons CP is out of question for us. On the other hand the AOS procedure takes so long. So should we just give up or do you think we should go ahead with AOS (given the fact that we need to pay a lot of fees)?

We would appreciate any response.
 
Does your NL says Congratulations! from the beignning? Some people say "Congratulations" can increase the chance you would win. But try CP, which is safer.....

Which Conntry you are from, btw?

Does anybody's case number is great than 2008AS00014000 ?

tobehard, I am from Iran, and like I said we cannot go through Cp because of my job here.

I read one article from one got DV GC. She took 2 weeks vacations to home country for CP. I am going to do that too.....
 
you'll have to decide what's more important - F1/H1 or a chance for GC. In your case I'd do CP. Your number may not even become current... Sorry.
 
If you can do CP, do it. If not, just wait for the number to become current. We received the NL early this year so we might still have chance to get it before the deadline. Number is high but they might give more visas to AS this year, who knows? If the number never become current, I don't think you need to pay anything. I am not so sure but I don't think so. Even if you don't get GC by DV, you can still have it by H1. It's just a matter of time. Good luck.

Is there any NL letter that those not begins with congratulation?

Dude, you cant just give up when you are a whole lot closer to completing the race than thousands of others that would love to have your problem. Go ahead with AOS, but dont give up mate, dont give up. We were in a predicament last year, when part of the fees started to look high, but if you want it, you will find it. God blessed us with everything we needed and we past our interview earlier this year.

Go for it.
