dv2006 request to LucyMo or anybody else

Hi everybody,

I received a notification letter from KCC some time ago. (DV2006EU7xxx)
At first I decided to do AOS since I'm here in the US. I'm on H4 status changed here from B2 visa. My wife is on H1B status. First, she was on B2 visa changed to F1 status and then eventually to H1B. Neither of us has H... visa stamped (just the approval notice).
Now, I'm thinking of switching to CP. The only thing I'm afraid of is the fact that I heard that some consuls consider changing the status in the US as something against the law. I don't understand why since approval notice is granted by Immigration Institution.
Can anybody help me in this matter.
I know that CP, according to what I've read on this forum is easier and faster. Should I then choose CP or should I stay with AOS procedure.

either. It is not against the law to change status. And you don't have to prove non-immgirant intent this time.
