DV2005 winner getting married

I am a DV2005 winner and my number is AS-07xxx. My number would be current in a couple of months. I was single when I sent my forms back, but now I'm in process of getting married.
I don't know which one is better: to get married before the interview time or after.
Does any one know of some similar cases and the results?
Any comments would be appreciated

From what I've heard if you marry before the interview you should be able to get your spouse a green card, although they might want you to give proof of your relationship (to make sure you didn't just get married in order to get your spouse a green card). I've read marriage after you've had the interview is likely not to get your spouse a green card.

It's possible to get GC after getting married, but the problem is it takes about 4 to 5 years. :(

if you marry after the interview it will take long time (approximately 5 years) for your spouse to get GC. but I am not sure that if you marry before they accept it
anyway it will be much more better than after interview
but try to have some evidence of your relation, such as photos, romantic letters and ...
they will ask you for it on the interview day as said
best wishes

on another board the same question was asked and here is the question and the answer form an expert:

I have already received my visa on 4 january but i am still in my home country. i want to marry now and take my boyfriend with me. what are my chances? can you help me

The news is not good. Your chances are unfortunately "ZERO" for the next few years. As mentioned several dozen times on this board (perhaps you are new to the board), if you do not get married prior to the interview, you cannot reasonably soon expect to bring over a new spouse on a DV visa. It is possible to do this, but the time involved is roughly four to five years (yes years not months) to be able to get the visa. So, you unfortunately are now in a position where you must move to the U.S. within 6 months of January 4th, and you cannot bring your boyfriend with you, even if you marry him. The only viable alternative is to try to get him another visa such as an H1B, or even a student visa...but you cannot work on a student visa.(except for on campus work/study programs). Sorry to bring such bad news, anyone else reading this needs to know you should get married BEFORE the interview or have a very, very long wait to be able to get a visa.

I have read that if you are able to prove that your marriage is genuine, the spouse can file for following-to-join benefits in this case (if the winner-spouse enters the US after the marriage) but she/he has to get the visa by Sep 30th. Of course, it's risky and uncertain, but do research following to join benefits for DV winners.
