DV winner doesn't have the addres in the USA, what should he say to IO in the airport?

My friend is coming to the USA, but he doesn't have the address in the USA. What should he say to IO in the airport?
His plan is to come to the USA, rent a hotel for couple days and then find an apartment. So what does he need to tell IO in this case? is it possible to inform the address later? Does anybody know this kind of procedure?

p.s. i'm not in the usa now, so i can't help him with the address.

He needs an address, this is where they will send his green card. He should try to get an address where he or someone there can collect the GC. Maybe he should use the address he used at the interview.

Strange, he won and doesn't have an address to sent his card too....what did he fill out on the application because they needed an address on the paperwork.

A lot of people apply for DV lottery without having anybody in the USA! at first you can file with N/A in the paperwork

I know but before you travel you need to give an address, that is why I asked....
