DV winner asking for Reentry Permint I-131

Hi friends of this forum:

I want to explain you my case in iorder to receive some help of you.

First I receive the Immigrant Visa in the home country and it expire on October 30, I am still working for a company where I signed commitments that finishes on November 2009, but I think living as a permanent residence is a great opportunity for me, but I would leave my job in bad way, I was thinking in get travel to the US before the deadline time and try to get the Reentry permit that allow me being outside the US for one year and a half,
and back to the US, but the questions are:

-How long before travel I need to file de I-131??
-If I get the I-131, I am going to enter to the US without troubles, later??
-How sure is the I-131 to keep my residence??
-Do I need the my SSN and my GC to file this form or just with my passport?
-How long after arrive to the US I`m going to receive my SSN and GC?

I am an anthropogist and I basically did the same thing with my immigrant wife in 1985 and we had no problem, although I think that we resided in the US for a good year after receiving the GC. However, be sure to read closely all the rules and regulations designating the use of the Re-entry Permit. Basically, as I recall, you can get two reentry permits within 5 years and must be in the US at least 1 out of the 5 years. But read the instructions.
