I am wondering why Nepalis are having such greater case number than other regions. Is there possibility to get GC with such high number. I figured out that compared to last few years the numbers are very high.

I am from Nepal and lets hope everyone gets visa this time... My CN is super high and I am not sure if I'll get a chance...
By the way, can someone tell me if we can also fill the DV2012? I'd like to test my luck again and hopefully get a lower CN next time.

Last year every winner from Asia was called for interview. I hope the same happens this year and u will be called for an interview. You can also apply for the 2012 DV program, there is no problem with that. It is always advisable that winners with high case numbers better apply for the next DV lottery as well. Good luck.

After going through the posts of 2010 winners, it seems there is better chance to be interviewed by CP but what we can do is to wait till May or June 11 to figureout the ratio of the cut off winning numbers by DOS for AOS. In my case, with high case number I did reply DOS for AOS and they mailed me a letter stating I could wait till my number be current. So, I will wait till next year May or so on to decide whether to apply AOS or CP. As my case number is AS33XXX ..

Ya thats true that we have got better chance to be interviewed if we do CP.That was what i was thinking too you know.I also have a letter from DOS stating that i could update my status after my case number becomes current.Hence,i will also wait for few months and lets see how the cut off numbers are assigned.Lets hope for the best Yastin.Fingers crossed my fren.Keep updated.Thanks.
