Hi Guys,
I have read so many forums, done so much of research, prepared almost 100's of possible questions that they might ask before going to my interview.
I know how stressful it is for someone to attend an interview that's why I feel that I should share my experience for others.
I done my interview at the US Consular in Kenya last week.
Our appointment was scheduled for 0630 in the morning. We arrived there around 6am and there was something like 50 people in the queue.
Anyway after the normal check we reported to the reception where we got our number. It was already 0740.
At 0750,our turn arrived, the lady asked my High School Certificate,Birth Certificate mine and my wife's, our Police Certificate and our Marriage Certificate together with our Passport and that's it.
The lady gave us the invoice and asked us that we should pay the fees($330x2) and then asked us that we should wait.
Our number came up again around 0830,and we were called for the finger print, then we were asked to wait again.
Around 0905, our names were called to report to counter 09.
We went.We were asked to raise our right hand for the sermons and then sign the application form.
The Questions that we were asked are as follows:
1. If we have married before?
Ans: No, 1st Marriage
2. Have been to the USA before?
Ans: No
3. Where are you going to live in the USA?
Ans: I gave her my friend's address.
After the third question, the lady replied so you never been to the USA so therefore today is your lucky day. I am issuing you and your wife your Visa. She gave us our Allien Number. She returned us our Passport saying that they are facing some technical problems therefore our Passport cannot be stamped with a Visa. They will contact us of when we should send them our Passport.
To date we are still waiting for the Consular to contact us.
If all your required Documents are correct and genuine, you don't have to worry. As you can read my story only 3 questions were asked which lasted 3 minutes and we left the US Embassy at 0910.
All done.
I am just hoping that reading my Interview Experience will help others.
Thanks and Good Luck for those attending their Interview.
