DV lottery and I-130 pending application

Hello - I sponsored my sister by submitting a I-130 application two years ago. Her application is still pending. Her husband and kid is listed on the I-130 application.

I would like to know if my sister can apply for the diversity visa as this could be a quicker way to get the USA if selected.

If she applies would this cancel her I-130 application ?

Also, can her husband apply or no ?

Yes, she can apply for DV. Yes, her husband can too. It does not affect the I-130.

• How many time a person can apply for DV ? basically how many application for each person during each DV Lottery year?
• If selected by the DV program, who offer the financial sponsor for the selected person and potential his wife / kids ?

your questions are answered in the official instructions

1. You may only enter once per year, more than one entry will disqualify you.
2. The DV applicant is expected to show they will not be a public charge. If they are unable to do this on their own (via assets, type of job/earnings potential etc) then anyone they can find in the US willing to sign an i134 affidavit of support can act as a sponsor.
