I was fortunate enough to be selected for DV 2012. I am from Venezuela, and since I am always reading about high and low case numbers, I am wondering if my case number is high or low.
My case number is: 2012223Jxxxxxxxx
What you mentioned is your confirmation number, which you originally received when you applied. The case number shows the year, followed by 2 letters representing the continent you belong to, and finally the number.
I am at the slow processing center in Saint Louis. My case number is 2012AS00028xxx. I am confused if its good to do AOS or CP. I did not find evidence where people with high case number did AOS and still received GC. I would love to hear from them.

I checked through the USCIS website processing time section. You are also a high case number like me. Are you doing CP or AOS?
