Dv-2012 Interview Success!

Here is my experience at the interview. I will try as much to be brief.. We got there on time with all our documents which include the following.
Wife: Original police report, birth cert, wedding cert, waec cert, nysc cert, bsc cert, medicals report, vacciones report , professionals cert, A level cert, but A level cert was returned to us. we were told to pay non refundable fee of $819* 2=$1,638 at window 21. then we started waiting for like almost 3 hours alot of pple are been denied while some few others are been granted visas. i will state here that, prayer works, some consular officers are very tough wile some are good and friendly. Pls pray for favour. at last we were called to window 16 for real business.

CO what are the courses u offered in the university
wife; financial accounting, cost accounting marketing etc
CO Which one do like most?

CO; why do like marketing
wife answer
CO, can u tell me title of the project u wrote in ur final year?
wife:answer
CO can u tell me how productivity is achieved by workers motivation, (from the prokect)
wife. answered vry well making reference to maslow theory of needs in relations to workers need to actualised stated objectives.
CO; hw many section do u have in mathematics in ur waec exams
wife: 2 section, 1 theory, other , objectives
CO, when did u married
wife answer
CO. can i see ur wedding pics
I brought out big album containing different ones
CO, asking me, where did u met ur wife
myself: University
CO, so u went to university as well
myself yes
CO what course did u studied
myself, answered
CO, u are eligible for the visas, i will give u, congratulations
CO; who would be coming to pick ur visas
wife; my husband

@samuel5028 and @Jummy,i want to say congratulation for a successful interviews.And also want to say thank you for sharing your interview experience to the house.I pray that the Good lord that done yours will surely do thesame for others in this forum.

Congratulations. Good news. Just one question. when you say that many were rejected, do you mean DV applicants or general B1/B2 etc...

The interview was done within 5 to 7 minutes with a lot of questions which were simple but technical unless u prepare 4 it u might be able to get it. The DV was won by my wife, so she is the Principal applicant while i enjoyed derivative status. I want to state here that, the proof of funds or affidavit of support as sm pple say was not requested at all from us, all they requested for was marriage certificate, medicals, police cert, nysc cert, waec cert, birth cert,vaccine result for my wife being the principal applicant, my own, only photocopy of waec cert, original vaccine result, medicals birth cert, and our passport. No question on proof of funds!

pls my interview is slated for 22 dec, can you explain to me about the vaccine result and where to do that in Lagos. pls ur urgent reply is needed

PLs go to Cammorras hospital at muri okunola in v/i, lagos i think no 238 muri okunola street, victoria island, lagos. u will go there with just #21,000 for only u. when get there u will be required to pay at specified bank, come back for ur medical examination, like xray, blood test and stuff like that afta this result will be given to u, not to be opened untill the day of ur interview, ok
 
I passed my interview. There's really nothing to add to what's already been written. On the interview day, all you need to do is show up with the documents, and they will do everything else. They are extremely efficient, so just do everything that is asked on the dvselectee website and specific consulate/embassy guidelines. My consulate specifically asked me not to bring any electronic devices or large bags so I was surprised to see many people waiting outside listening to mp3 players!

For those worried that there are only 55,000 visas for 100,000 winners, relax. USCIS has never exhausted 55,000 visas in any DV program.
See this website: http://www.travel.state.gov/pdf/MultiYearTableI.pdf where it shows the highest number of DV visas issued was 49,771 (2010). Remember, that includes NACARA countries, so there were still over 5,000 visas available by the end of September 2010. Personally I think there should be a small fee to enter the lottery, since so many applicants fail to claim the visa.

God is good

I made it at last with the help of the Lord JESUS Christ and you Guys in this forum. For those of you that has not yet done their interview, the Lord that is helping us in this forum will also do yours in JESUS name..Amen. I did my interview two weeks ago and picked up my viz last week Friday. I have nothing to add on what we have been shearing in this forum. But my advise for SSCE Student is to read especially biology bcs most of them use to ask question on Biology. For married they will ask for your wedding pics. No matter the way you answer you can never fail since you have an idea and also all your document should be completed to avoid delay or refuse of visa. This is very important; when you are going for your interview you can read Psalm 121, 123 in the Bible and ask GOD for His mercy, Tell Him to take perfect and absolute control of everything you will do on that day,after this prayer make sure you have faith that God will do it and He will. That is what i did and it was very fantastic. On my interview one of the consular interviewer his asking many questions, he will ask! ask!! and ask!!! questions why other consular have even true with like two applicant. Then i was even praying that God should not let this guy to interview me. Sincerely, when it comes to my turn it was the guy but with the help of God Almighty, we did not even spent up to 3 minute. All power belong to GOD. All of us will meet in the state in the Mighty name of JESUS Christ....Amen.
