Alright, i am so confused about how i should proceed with this... I dont knw if I should apply for the visa using the consular option or choose the 'change of status' option.... Alot of the threads seem to suggest that the consular way is safer, and there are other contradicting posts as well...
My case No: 2011AS00007XXX (how good are my chances/ does this number range become current very soon or much later?)
Also, i need to get back to my country in december and then a study abroad in korea (though representing my american university) next year till June, then I get back to the US for my clinicals at a hospital as part of my graduation requirement.... Do you think it will be safe for me to file for AOS (status change) then leave the country ? will there be any potential problems that i might face while trying to get in? (will my F1 get cancelled coz of the permanent resident intention, and will I be denied entry into the US when i try to get in next year in June? One final question, is either way more/less costly than the other (besides the flight ticket.. lol)
