DV 2011 Photo problem

Hi guys,

I just submitted my DV2011 application

I just paste a 299X413 picture (Head 202X281) onto a 600X600 blank background, it passes the photo validator but later I found out it looks like one of the incorret picture sample...

Does the photo validator guarantees my photo to be accepted or, if this one failed, will i have a chance to reupload?

Thank you so much.

The picture validator only looks at the size...Only when you become a winner and if you picture isn't eligible under the rules you could end up not receiving the NL...but you never will be able to find out if the comp. didn't select you or you weren't eligible after being chosen....only if you still get the NL although your picture wasn't eligible...so keep your fingers crossed, but under the rules if your picture isn't eligible that makes your whole entry inelegible...

Maybe you will have a lucky angel out there:)

The photo validator just checks if the entire picture measures 600 x 600. It doesn't check the actual composition, that's entirely in your hands. The photo validator will also accept a complete blank canvas if it's 600 x 600.

I just don't see why you would paste a picture that is clearly smaller than the requested 600 x 600 on a blank canvas, leaving broad edges of white in the photo (if I understand this correctly from your question). Sorry, but no doubt the embassy is going to disqualify you on the grounds of submitting a picture that is clearly not according to the rules if KCC hasn't already done so. So if you get a letter, ask yourself if you wanna spend a couple of grand on something that will most likely get you nowhere.

Wait, I think you mean that the composition got stretched/deformed. Either way, if it's obvious to the physical eye you will probably get cut.

Well your best hope is that the rest of your family applies, and that they are selected so you can be the beneficiary. Good luck.
