DV 2009 Winner ... Need some help

first of all i want to thank every one for helping me ....

- i am from Egypt and my CN 35** and in the visa bulletin for September the RANK CUT-OFFS WHICH WILL APPLY IN OCTOBER is :
visas are available only for applicants with DV regional lottery rank numbers BELOW the specified allocation cut-off number
AFRICA : 6,900
Egypt : 3,100
Ethiopia : 3,600
Nigeria : 3,350

- so i want to know if this mean that they will take from Egypt the CN under 3100 or what ?
- what dose it mean AFRICA 6,900 although Egypt , Ethiopia and Nigeria did not reach this number 6,900 ?

- i just call KCC on 22-8-2008 to confirm my CN and they told me that the number they are current for AFRICA are 6000 and to call them again after one week ? what does this is mean ?

Hi there,
Egypt, Nigeria and Ethiopia have their own cut off numbers which is different from the rest of Africa. You CN is 35xx which is above the October cut off number for Egypt ie 3100.Hopefully, your number should fall below the cut off number for Egypt comes next visa bulletin. All you need to do is ignore the rest of Africa and concentrate on Egypt.

Your CN is still not current, you should focus on Egypt cut-off number only, Africa cut off number is for other african countries ( excluding ethiopia & nigeria as well). You will probably become current around Oct-Nov.

She definitely won't be current in October because Egypt cut off number for October is 3100.
