DV 2009 Filing Error

If someone makes an error in date of birth entry while submitting a DV lottery 2009 and if he/she wins the lottery, can that error be rectified later or will that disqualify him/her.

If anyone has any knowledge on this matter, please respond.

Accidently typed wrong date of birth while submitting application

Any mistake can be corrected if you know the mistake. If you win, inform KCC of the mistake. Whether or not KCC will accept, I can't say. All I know is that your DATE OF BIRTH is as important as your NAME.

data of birth is important, but there have been cases when people made that mistake. If my memory serves me right, everything went OK. Not the same for the wrong country of birth/eligibility - got a denial.
One family wrote only a half of a last name (!), and still got visas.

you must have interchanged month and day of your birth date because of US date format is different. If so nothing to worry, on this forum there are cases that people got their visas who did similiar mistake.

I made a mistake on day. Accidently put another date when filing and somehow overlooked that before submitting

Dont worry..If you will win the lottery you will fill the forms with the correct date of birth. And KCC will update your case file..

Thanks dragoman. Its a relied to hear that it can be updated in case the person is a winner

But, in case you win when you inquiry KCC about your case you must provide them your date of birth which you inserted during online DV application. You can search on this forum using the keywords 'date of birth mistake'. You will find some cases that applicants in same situation got their visas. Good luck..
