DV-2008-First come first serve or case number???

Hello,

I got dv-2008 NL dated April 4, 2007 with case no. AF200800004XXX. I have one concern though. To get scheduled for interview, is the case number (high or low) or the first come first serve that matters? I am gonna send the forms to KCC next week. Will that be too late? I do appreciate any kind of feedback...

:)

If you choose to go with the CP route, then yes, it is always advisable to send your forms back to KCC quickly ( see Note )
However, your case number will dictate when your interview will be. You have to check the visa bulletin as it cannot be before your number appears current.

Note: If you read my own exp, I believe that it is because I sent my forms rather late ( mid October because I chose to get married ) that I was not interviewed in April nor in May, but only in June ( my number was current in April )

Judging by current progressions your number appears low for Africa and could get interviewed before the end of 2007 i.e October to December.
I assume that you realize the interviews will start in Oct'07 when the dv-2008 season begins.
Double check though on visa bulletins for 2007 for more precise perspective.
Hearty congratulations on your selection.:D

So...it is based on your number appears on Bulletin not first come first server? correct?...so why did KCC ask to send the forms ASAP?

Puzzling

You are right, interviews are scheduled according to your number and when the number becomes "current" in the visa bulletin. One of the Nigerian guys had to re-send his form to KCC this January because the ones he sent last year got missing in the mail. He got his dv visa last week.
I guess there is an off-chance that if your number is high and visas are limited, they may run out of visas before your mail gets to them.
