DUI and GC via Marriage

Hello,

Quick question;

If someone has had two DUIs, and an F1 overstay in the past, but currently has a B1/B2 visa(approved after 2nd try), what are his chances of getting approved for a GC via marriage?

Is it a definite no? Does he have good chances if he shows that he's learned and moved on from past mistakes?

Thank you for your feedback and input!

If that someone is you, then you have big problems ahead of you. I am not sure how you have learnt your lessions if you have 2 DUI's, I would have learnt from the first one:rolleyes: During your application for a B1/2, did you disclose to the DoS/USCIS that your were married? You will have to disclose to USCIS the DUI's stories. I am afraid your GC chances might have gone fishing...:D

Why do you say that Al? Does a DUI affect a GC application? Whats the whole story here?

Well..if u really want to see how it will affect ur GC, continue drinking and driving. You will have a real practical experience with what is going to happen to your card...:rolleyes:

Multiple DUIs can be the basis for inadmissibility under the multiple CIMT rule. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Because you can kill someone while DUI. And frankly I don't care if DUI person will be killed (less idiots), but too many innocent people may be injured/killed. Frankly I wouldn't even give a chance after 2 DUIs, but it's just IMHO (CIS may thinks/rules differently).
