I got my oath ceremony tomorrow, i got a dwia after my interview i also found out that driving while impared is only a traffic infraction not a missdemeanor or even worst a felony should i put down in the ceremony letter that i got arrested if i do what's going to happen?
Thank you and i will no hide it.ill post tomorrow and let you guys know what happen.I agree, don't attempt to hide it. It might delay your oath, but I don't think it's worth trying to hide it. If it is as minor as you say it might not cause you much trouble. Bring as much related documentation (dispositions and things like that) to the oath ceremony with you. Hopefully they can give you a decision there, but chances could be that they pull you out of that ceremony in order to evaluate your situation. As boatbod has mentioned we haven't seen many cases like yours, we would be interested in knowing what happens to your case, so good luck and please keep us posted.
thanxNot good.
You definitely need to declare this to the USCIS officer during registration for the oath - one of the standard questions is to ask if you've had any trouble with the police since the interview.
As you might imagine, this question doesn't come up very often, so I'm not even going to speculate what the outcome might be. You would however be well advised to consult with a good immigration attorney, before the event.
