Is it against law to apply for permenant residency in another country while the green card in US is pending? I have received the stamp in my passport for Australian residency and my GC in the USA is pending.

I would appreciate if anyone could share their experiences/thoughts if I could have problems re-entering USA with AP.

I am intending to cancel the Australian residency one I receive the american green card.

-----no problem entering US with AP you have filed US GC it is NOT approved base of AP is pending AOS or I-485

------ You can cancel when you get US GC or it will be automatically become void if you don’t meet Australia residency rules to preserve your PR of Australia. Once you get US GC you have to meet the criteria of US residency. US immigration is NOT interested in Stamps on Passport of Australia PR or Canada PR, they don’t care and your US GC will be the latest
