Dual residence ?

I got a job with a NY based company and joining it taking AC21. However, the job does not necessarily need me to move to NY. I live in the nebraska region and can maintain the address there for a year. Since the projects involve travel and project length around 6 months, I am wondering if I should inform INS. My wife is going to university and I am investigating if I should change my residence.

Can anybody answer these questions:

1) Is there any use moving from NSC to VSC ? If there is a good reason, I can get an address where I work for the next 6 months.

2) Is there a concept of dual residence ? Can I claim to reside in both places. In this case where will they do local transfer ? Also if I do get an interview, will I get it in the place of work or place of residence ?

3) I am looking for the smoothest solution to AC21. Can I just continue living and working/living in different areas ? I go home once in a month or two.

Thanks

1. dont know
2. U need a primary residence as far as BCIS is considered.
3. U can use either address and can argue (a) my family/wife is here and so this is my main residence (b) most of my work comes from here (pay state tax) so this is my main residence for 2002 or 2003. it might change next year. Iwanted to be true to INS, that is why the confusion...
come on use your inventiveness and improvisation you have learnt here...

thanks. So does it mean that I dont have to file AR for change of address ? In case they ask for W2, there will be withholding for the different state than I live. Hope that is not a problem.
