Just recently got my US citizenship. I have to renew my Indian visitors visa (in my UK passport) and contemplating going for OCI instead (by birth and have old Indian expired passport from 20 years ago).

Does it make a difference in terms of processing time if I use my UK rather than my new US passport?

Looking at the travisa website, there doesn't appear to be a requirement that I have a US passport to apply for OCI in the US. I'm based in Portland, OR and will be using the SFO consulate.

--------it does not make difference. If you are staying in US then better to get OCI "U" visa in US passport. Nothing wrong if your Prefer U visa in UK passport.
