Dual A#

Anybody who had dual A# - did you guys include your old A# in a separate letter with your application? OR you didnot mention it at all in N400?
I am trying to figure out whether it is worth mentioning this in the application OR is it going to confuse things?
Please let me know if you have any experience with this.

TIA

Aniretake,

How do you know that your 3 A's are consolidated in 1 file? How did you find that out?

Thanks
Sunesh

Thanks Aneritake.
You asked senator and INS officer before the interview OR during/after the interview?
I am trying to understand if there is anyway to know whether the files are consolidated before the interview or better even before the N400 application form is sent.
When did you find out that your 3 A#'s were consolidated into 1?

Thanks a lot Aneritake. Truly appreciate your prompt response.

I have recently appeared for my Citizenship Interview, and was told that I have two Alien files with the same name, the officer has ordered the second file from National Records Center, to verify and make a decision on my citizenship application.
I applied for work permit in 1992 under CSS / LULAC scheme, I was a student on F1,new to the country and was misguided that I can get my green card under CSS within six months, my application was rejected by the immigration officer as he did not belive that I entered the country in 1981, I did not have enough evidence to prove that I entered USA and lived here during 1981 to 1987.
Can some one advise me if that application has created a Second Alien number, I had no problem while processing my GC.
I did not mention about this file in my N400 application.
I said NO to question 23 on N400 application.
How long does it take to verify the second A File.
How does it effect my Naturalization application?
Does it effect my green Card?
Can they deport and revoke the GC?

Appreciate advise from an Attorney or legal expert or some one with similar experience on this forum. Thank you

You have nothing against you,the only problem is going to be the delays...
Apart from that as long as u meet the requirements you are good to go.

Hi, I have same problem of 2 A numbers. When I entered US they alloted me A # on the passport based on family based immigration and then they lost my file. When I contacted them they alloted me another A#. Now I filed my N 400 application with the new A# (which I have green card). My FP is done and after that I received a letter from CSC demanding additional documents because they are confused with my A#. I send them all the things including the earlier correspondes and earlier letter which I sent them when my file was lost. It sucks...

But now I am waiting for my interview letter. Does anybody has idea as to how much delay it will cause. My priority date is July 4 2006.

Thanks query11, but CSC asked me additional documents before any interview letter. I dunno, lets hope it does not delay the process.

did they mention what documents? again the reason i posted his link is,if u follow his postings he was very much involved in threads regarding dual a#'s..u will get good information by following his links...

I checked the whole thread, you recommended.

Yes they did mention like copies of passport, names of family members who migrated with you etc. I sent them passport copies, letter stating the names of family members with A# who immigrated with me. Also I have sent the earlier letters which I sent them regarding my lost of file after which I received my GC. Also I sent the copy of my immigration papers. Hope this helps them.

Letter I received just said that their A# does not matches with my (NEW A#) and they need additional docs to proceed with my application.

Thats why I am worried for delay in my process (which is due to their fault)

Thanks for the information.
I was worried about my CSS application which was false.
If the A number is generated with that file and they get that file what could happen, as I have stated NO to question 23 on N400.I have passed the interview waiting for the Double A file to be compiled and I am hoping that they will send me a letter to take oath.

Thank you
