Dual A#

It looks the folks run into Dual A# issues:
- when one does Consular processing ..
- when one has done multiple I-140 [like thru different employers]
- have previously applied like thru asylum, etc

Has there been any other reason if someone has run into dual A# problem. Appreciate your thoughts ..

Any or all of the above.
Also If you held EAD (such as part of PT on F1) that may also result in dual A#
In reality, there is no logic as to when and why multiple A# are created.
Sometimes, its just a side effect of the way INS handles cases.
I remember reading here that someone had 4 or 5 A#'s (That does not fit in any of the logical scenario.)

If you know of multiple A#, attach a letter to your N400 with each A# listed. And you will be fine.
