DSP-122 Occupation Code Question

Hi Everyone,

I've just tried to fill DSP-122, I have high school and Bachelor degree, soon will complete my Masters.
In this case should I answer Yes to Q7a?
"7. Work Experience a. Within the last 5 years, I have worked at least 2 years in a job that requires at least 2 years of training or experience:"
I've been in IT industry for like 4 years, so I guess I have this experience, but do I need to select yes, since I already have the other option High School degree... as far as I understood the rules for the green card you need high school degree or 2 years experience on job... so I have both in this case...

Q1: Can I just describe my experience and click Yes and if my experience doesn't fit uncheck this on the interview?
Q2: Have you filled the last line "Occupation Code"? It is "editable" in the online version of the form that you have to print and send over mail, but right on top there is this huge capital letter text "DO NOT WRITE IN THIS SPACE - FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY" ... so I guess we shouldn't fill it... I believe for my case the number is 15-1131.00, but should I write it there(this is last line of page2)?

Thanks!

Regards,
Pavel

Hey Pavel,

Congratulations on your selection. With regards to work experience, indicate/elaborate your experience as it is important information for the KCC and consular officer to know. Put it this way, information carries more weight so if you provide both your educational information and work information it'll be better for processing and for your interview.

Do you see what it says above Occupation Code? DO NOT WRITE :). This will be done by the KCC or consular officer. Don't write anything there at all.

Good luck on your journey!

You're welcome my friend!

Where are you applying from? Why would you like to move to America if I may ask?
