DS156 - Job Title; please help

The company I work for now, filed my H1 B transfer petition with BCIS and my job title in the petition was 'X'. The offer letter states a different job title 'Y'. 'Y' is my actual job title and I am wondering if this can be a problem when I go to get my visa stamped in Vancouver, end of this month. On the DS-156, what should I put as my job title? 'X' or 'Y'?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

job title should not matter. Some company has title called design engineer, some other company may have title called staff engineer for the same job duty, other company calls it technical staff etc etc..
Job duty is more important.
 
Thank you for the responses. I really appreciate it. The company HR says they're going to help as well... so we'll see what they come up with.

I have a BS & MS, both from US. Have finished 3 years on my H1 and am going for re-validation after switching jobs. Any suggestions from past experiences that you might have come across for Vancouver consulate? What should I expect? Are they easy going or not?
