DS -260 submission consequence on future visa application

Hi . Anyone here who submitted his DS-260 before, intending a LPR status in the States but didn t continue the process , only DS -260 submission ( no biometric , no fees , no interview ) and received a deragotry note within the information exchange between US and Canda due to that ? or no harm at all because only submitting the DS form without attending the visa interview so no adjuction was made ... Thank you
 
Yes, US and Canada do exchange immigration related information. Not proceeding with the visa application following the DS260 submission is not a visa refusal, therefore Canada will equally not see this as a refusal either. I don’t see a need to be concerned about some “derogatory note” unless you have some inconsistencies in the submitted information which you’re hoping will not be shared by the two countries.
