DS 230 questions need help

In DS 230 form (Applied for I-130(Approved waiting for NVC system update) for my father, I am us citizen, Country: India/Gujarat)

1> Question 15 , 20, 25 about birth date for spouse, father and mother of immigrant are no longer live and no one in my family know about date of birth. So what should we do? We know dead date for spouse and have dead certificate for question 15 and we know if deceased, year of death. is there any issue keeping blank on question 15, 20, 25 ? or just write date based on other people age difference in family ?

2> Question 30 : I got best guess of places lived but not accurate. Do I need to get police certificate for all places lived ?

3> Question 43B : based on what I understand I have check Yes. But not sure what is for this ?

I did fill out the date on guess for my Grand father & Grand Mother...exact year of death...Q 15 is about spouse which would be mother if applying for father...so fill in the correct information..

You can put the best guesses & yes if the places linked to different police stations then you need get all police certificates.

3> Question 43B : based on what I understand I have check Yes. But not sure what is for this ?
I have also checked Yes for 43B

There are 2 different clearances we need - Police clearance & Passport clearance (from passport office)..
Police clearance flows like - Person need to SSP office & ask for Police clearance (might need to fill some form), SSP office directs the request to DSP office which forward it to your local police station...local police station verify & send back to DSP then to SSP office which will issue police clearance..
Let us say you were living in village then moved to some city or another village which reported to same police station...then you need only one police clearance otherwise if your locations belong to diff police stations then you might need diff..
This is my understanding of the clearances or process...hope it might help or may be confuse you more :)
 
I am not sure here...I also had same kind of confusion but you know we always choose the safe path....so I got both clearances for my parents...
 
Here is details I got from Mumbai consulate under IMMIGRANT VISA SECTION. They mention it require from local local area passport office.



POLICE REPORT: Each applicant aged 16 years or older must submit a police certificate that includes information regarding the applicant, including all arrests, the reason for the arrest(s) and the disposition of such cases. The following list explains where applicants must obtain their police certificates.

How did you got local police clearance ? Your parent comes under Mumbai US Consulate ?

I am not sure here...I also had same kind of confusion but you know we always choose the safe path....so I got both clearances for my parents...
