Ds-230 Part-i colomn 16,18 query?

i m filling ds-230 part 1 , no 16 ,18 colomn needs applicant's fathers and mothers date of birth and place of birth. but we dont have that information cos one is died and other dont have that information..basically applicants dont have information for both parents.. only he has date of death for one parent. so should i write N/A or anything else ?

Using N/A would be incorrect since the parents were born sometime. Just write an approximate year of birth and mention that it is a best guess.
